About the Role
We are looking for a collaborative, analytical, and organised Assistant FP&A Analyst to join us in a permanent, fully home-based position (35 hours per week). This role offers excellent flexibility, keeping you connected to a passionate nationwide directorate.
As a key member of the Financial Partnering, Planning & Analysis team within the wider Finance department, you’ll play an important supporting role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and reporting for early to front-line strategies. Your goal will be to ensure we always maintain a reliable, accurate, and well-presented single source of financial truth from which colleagues can make informed decisions.
Your days will be varied and meaningful. You will:
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Maintain templates and produce regular management account packs and dashboards
- Develop intuitive financial tools and contribute to multi-year financial models
- Gather operational feedback to drive continuous improvement

About You

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience: Some prior work within a Finance team environment.
- Education: Ideally, part-qualified as an accountant (or pursuing qualifications).
- Interest: Strong interest in data analysis, financial tools, and job-based upskilling.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with IT systems to streamline workflows, reduce manual inputs, and improve efficiency.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines proactively.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working remotely with remote colleagues, building strong relationships.
- Practical Flexibility: The occasional willing travel for team meetings/away days (few times per year).
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support end-to-end budgeting and forecasting cycles, including maintaining templates, timetables, and data collection from budget holders.
Management Reporting
- Produce and maintain regular account packs, dashboards, and reporting tools for Finance Business Partners and budget holders.
Financial Modelling
- Assist the FP&A Manager with multi-year financial models, scenario planning, and trend analysis to inform key assumptions.
Process Improvement
- Gather feedback on financial products to improve workflows and enhance data productivity.
Team Collaboration
- Maintain a consistent "single point of truth" across the Finance and Assurance Directorate.
