A Day in the Life – Assistant Front Office Manager
As Assistant Front Office Manager, you’ll support the Front Office Manager in overseeing all aspects of front desk operations. Your day will include:
- Leading by example to ensure smooth check-ins, check-outs, and guest interactions
- Coaching and developing the Front Office team, including training and daily performance feedback
- Managing shift operations and delegating responsibilities effectively
- Resolving guest concerns with professionalism and care, ensuring guest satisfaction at every turn
- Monitoring team performance and guest feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Supporting administrative tasks such as rotas, reporting, and team communications
- Ensuring high standards of presentation, service, and cleanliness across the front desk area
- Working closely with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Front Desk or Guest Services supervisory role, ideally within a hotel environment
- A guest-first approach, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in leading a team and motivating others to deliver their best
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Familiarity with hotel PMS systems (Opera Cloud experience is a plus)
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high service standards
