Assistant Garment Technologist - Premium Womenswear Brand
Hybrid - 1 day working from home
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Assistant Garment Technologist to join our client's growing product team. Working across premium womenswear collections, you will support the Garment Technologists in ensuring every product meets exceptional standards for fit, quality, and performance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves beautiful product, has a keen eye for detail, and is looking to develop their technical career within a brand that places quality at the heart of what they do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Garment Technologists throughout the product development process, from initial samples through to production.
- Assist with fit sessions by preparing samples, taking accurate notes, and updating fit comments.
- Measure and assess garments against technical specifications and size charts.
- Help maintain accurate technical files, specifications, and product records.
- Liaise with Design, Buying, and Production teams to ensure clear communication throughout development.
- Review and monitor sample quality, construction, and workmanship, escalating any concerns where necessary.
- Support communication with suppliers regarding fit, construction, and quality comments.
- Assist with garment testing, care label approvals, and product compliance documentation.
- Help ensure critical path deadlines are met by tracking samples and approvals.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in fit consistency, product quality, and technical standards across collections.

About You:

- Previous experience in a similar Junior Garment Tech or Technical Assistant role across womenswear.
- A qualification in Clothing Technology, Fashion, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit.
- Confident measuring garments and interpreting technical specifications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships across teams and with suppliers.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience using PLM or product management systems being an advantage.
- Positive, collaborative, and eager to learn, with a genuine enthusiasm for premium fashion.
