Assistant General Manager
Location: Central London
Salary: £55,000+
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 48 hours over 5 days

The Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant. You'll lead Front of House operations during service, inspire and develop the team, maintain exceptional guest experiences, and ensure operational excellence across every shift. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress into a senior management position within a premium hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
- Support the day-to-day Front of House operation, including opening and closing procedures.
- Lead by example during service, delivering warm, professional hospitality.
- Oversee floor operations, managing guest flow and team performance.
- Resolve guest feedback and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, motivate, and coach Front of House team members.
- Assist with rota planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Deliver team briefings, shift handovers, and on-the-job training.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and probation reviews.
Stock & Financial Control
- Help manage stock levels, minimise wastage, and control consumables.
- Complete stock checks and maintain accurate operational records.
- Support cost control initiatives and encourage effective upselling.
Compliance
- Ensure food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Complete daily operational checklists and compliance records.
- Support opening, closing, and keyholder responsibilities where required.

About You
You'll ideally have:
- 1–2 years' experience in a managerial role within a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety standards.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A calm, hands-on approach with the ability to perform under pressure.
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality.
- Flexibility to work across multiple Central London locations if required.
