Assistant General Manager | Full-Time

OTE £39,300 (£36,300 base salary + £3,000 bonus) + tips

Location

Based at Cabot Circus, Bristol, in the heart of the city’s shopping and social scene. Well-connected by bus, rail, and local transport.


About the Role

  • Run a high-performing restaurant alongside the General Manager
  • Roll up your sleeves in service, solving problems and keeping energy high
  • Empower your team with coaching rather than just targets
  • Drive continuous improvement with a kaizen mindset—always finding better ways
  • Lead with balance, turn chaos into rhythm, and ensure your team feels supported

Key Responsibilities

  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the General Manager to operate a thriving restaurant
  • Activate and uplift your team—make every team member feel seen, valued, and proud
  • Jump into service when needed, troubleshoot quickly, and sustain a high-energy environment
  • Develop staff through coaching and mentorship, not just performance metrics
  • Champion kaizen principles, identifying small, scalable improvements and implementing them effectively
