Nestled on 40 acres overlooking the southwestern corner of Narragansett Bay, Castle Hill Inn – a Relais & Chateaux hotel – is a coastal haven where guests come to relax and rejuvenate against a spectacular New England backdrop, a location that is second to none. The property features guest rooms that are perched on the sand dunes of our private beach, a banquet facility, and two restaurants featuring the talents of the culinary team. About the Position: In the Assistant General Manager role, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager by overseeing and leading the daily restaurant operations while fostering a culture of positivity, growth and teamwork. About You: You are a quality driven leader with a strong hospitality and service background whom pleasing and impressing guests comes naturally. Essential Duties: Ensuring a quality guest experience by managing all areas of the restaurant’s daily operations including private dining Hiring, training, and development of employees and managers Maintains professional relationships with other managers and subordinates in order to foster a culture of positivity, growth and teamwork Hands on training and development of all service positions, specific areas to include: Guest Service, Etiquette, Food and Beverage Knowledge Oversees scheduling for front of house Daily reconciliation, invoicing, and inventory Compensation and Benefits: Competitive compensation $75,000-$85,000/Year! If you feel the same, we want to hear from you. #NRGcareers QualificationsSkills & Abilities: Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills Must be able to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationships Qualifications: Progression from Restaurant Manager to Assistant General Manager with a minimum of 2 years as Assistant General Manager in an upscale, high-volume establishment. Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed Prior experience a plus but not required
