About the Role

Nene Golf Ltd, based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, is recognised as one of England’s finest Pay & Play destinations, celebrated for its outstanding standards both on and off the course. They manage two golf courses:
- Thorpe Wood Golf Course (a parkland course located in the centre of Peterborough)
- Orton Meadows Golf Course (which recently celebrated a notable milestone)
The Full-Time role involves collaborating with a team of Greenkeepers, reports to the Course Manager, and will be primarily based at Thorpe Wood Golf Course.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Greenkeeper with the following traits to join our team:

- A passion for golf course development and an unwavering commitment to maintaining exceptional course conditions
- A keen eye for detail, particularly in the aesthetics and presentation of the course
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Interest in golf (desirable)
Responsibilities
Essential Key Competencies:
- Ability to operate and maintain a fleet of golf course machinery and equipment
- Proficiency in Health & Safety across all aspects of golf course management
- Solid understanding of greenkeeping principles and practices
- Management and prioritisation of multiple tasks
- Teamwork and ability to contribute effectively as a team player
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail

Essential
- Previous experience working outdoors
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desired
- Golf course maintenance experience
