About The Role

Reporting to the to the Group Financial Controller, this is a great opportunity for the successful candidate - a diverse role that includes responsibilities across multiple reporting areas.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury & Working Capital:

Prepare daily bank reconciliations. Manage online bank access and account maintenance. Assist with the preparation of the weekly short-term cash-flow forecast

Taxation

Preparation of the VCCP Group tax returns

Financial Reporting And Control

Perform control checks on balance sheets on a monthly basis Prepare & review the intercompany consolidation.

Group Reporting

Assist with the year-end audit process and Statutory accounts preparation

Management Accounts

Assist with the preparation of the management accounts for the Group Holding Companies.

Compliance

Prepare and submit monthly/annual National Statistic surveys Review compliance with policies and processes. Assist with insurance process

Support wider Group Finance team with department deliverables

Skills & Experience

Previous experience of working within an accounts or finance department at an

accounts assistant level (AAT).

Has excellent levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a well-rounded

understanding of business in general.

You will need strong written and verbal communication skills and be confident in

communicating with all levels of the business.

Well organised but with the ability to be flexible and respond to changing deadlines and

requests.

Take real pride in your work and have a strong sense of ownership. Able to work using own initiative but also committed to supporting the wider team

whenever possible.

Intermediate Excel ability with experience using Pivot Tables, xlookups, SUMIF, data linking

etc.
