Assistant Head Chef (up to £14.25/hour) – Zizzi

About the Role
As an Assistant Head Chef, you’ll be a senior key player in the kitchen team. You’ll have the authority to run the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent, leading with strong people skills and an unwavering passion for food. Central to the role is the ability to operate as part of a team, while maintaining a focus on quality, profitability, and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Take charge of kitchen management when the Head Chef is away, ensuring seamless operations and high-performance teamwork.
- Oversee shift planning, preparation, and food coverage to maximise efficiency.
- Lead the team to deliver consistently high-quality food that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
Culinary Excellence
- Master the menu: Know our dishes, specifications, and standards inside out.
- Work confidently across all kitchen sections when needed.
- Pass on knowledge to juniors and set a standard for quality and presentation.
Restaurant Excellence
- Collaborate with the entire restaurant team to create Great Times for guests.
- Ensure the kitchen and dining space are looking fabulous—soft-serve policies, tidiness, and adherence to guidelines.
- Represent Zizzi’s consistent standards in everything you do.
