Assistant Head Chef
£14.25 per hour plus Tronc and Benefits
As Assistant Head Chef, you will be a senior role in the kitchen team with the ability to run operations in the Head Chef’s absence. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong leadership skills, an unwavering passion for food, and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality.

what you’ll be doing
Key Responsibilities
- Step into the Head Chef’s role when needed, leading the kitchen team to ensure professional, profitable, and outstanding food service.
- Master your knowledge of the menu, specifications, ingredient tendencies, and workloads to work seamlessly across all kitchen stations.
- Develop and motivate your team, sharing passion for excellence and ensuring maximum efficiency in the kitchen.
- Plan, prepare, and delegate shift resources effectively to match demand, maximising cost control and quality.
- Collaborate with the restaurant team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, with focus on presentation, flavour, and servicing.
- Maintain flawless kitchen standards – ensure the working environment keeps compliance, cleanliness, food hygiene policies, and positive team performance.
