Assistant Head Greenkeeper
Position: Assistant Head Greenkeeper
Location: Bromley Golf Centre
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Job Type: 40 hours permanent
Closing Date: 30th June 2026

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Head Greenkeeper to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with greenkeeping experience who wants to take their career to the next level and work alongside a talented team of professionals.

Key Duties:
- To support the Head Greenkeeper and deputise in their absence.
- The programming and supervising of Golf greenkeeping operations.
- To supervise by planning, motivating, and controlling all associated maintenance across the whole course.
- To plan, organise, and undertake maintenance operations so that the golf course is ready for play whilst causing the least amount of disruption to players and to ensure that no changes occur that could cause a competition to be declared void.
- To identify pest, weed or disease problems and carry out appropriate cultural or chemical control of affected areas. To set-up, calibrate and check spraying equipment.
- To assist in the surveying, planning and construction of new greens, tees and bunker around the course.
- To assist in the production of liquid and granular fertilising equipment and to evenly distribute appropriate feed to greens and tees.
- Staff management recruitment, training, development, absence management, staff 1-2-1, competency framework, timesheets.

Role requirements:
- A minimum of two years experience of grounds maintenance/green keeping.
- An NVQ level 2 in Greenkeeping or industry equivalent/experience would be desirable.
- Experience of working in a green keeping capacity on a golf course.
- Experience of operating a variety of grounds maintenance equipment.
