The Assistant Head Teacher post represents an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to develop their leadership skills within a very strong and supportive professional network.

You Must Have

We are looking for an Assistant Head Teacher to support at our La Fontaine Academy. If you have significant experience in any of the following areas then do get in touch for a further discussion:

  • Successful experience leading an area of improvement
  • Passion for Inclusion and commitment to advance your knowledge in SEND leadership
  • The ability to identify and implement successful safeguarding, inclusion strategies for all pupils and SEND.
  • Excellent understanding of curriculum and pedagogical issues, including recent developments within the primary phase.
  • Curriculum development and design - particularly within the wider curriculum;
  • Effective pastoral and behaviour management skills at middle or senior leadership;
  • The ability to develop excellent relationships
  • Delivering CPD and supporting the development of teachers at different levels of experience;
  • Understanding of strategies that enable pupils to make excellent progress.
  • Able to demonstrate resilience, and willing to face new challenges with enthusiasm and positivity
