Assistant Hospitality Manager
This role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter Bonus* (£1,000) and Campus Services Refer a Friend bonus.
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Assistant Hospitality Manager to support the delivery of high-quality front of house operations within our Campus Services team at the University of Bath.
About The Role
In this role, you will manage the day-to-day running of your catering outlets, ensuring excellent customer service standards are consistently achieved while maintaining compliance with financial controls, Health & Safety, Licensing Law and HACCP requirements.
- Lead and develop a team of hospitality staff, supporting recruitment, training, and performance.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Hospitality management team to enhance our food and beverage offer and overall customer experience.
- Oversee stock, rotas, and operational standards, ensuring an efficient, well-organised service in a fast-paced environment.
About You
We’re looking for someone with strong front of house management experience, a passion for delivering excellent service, and the ability to motivate and develop teams. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential, alongside a sound understanding of relevant legislation and financial processes.
Further information
- This is a full-time role, working 36.5 hours per week.
- The outlets are open 7 days a week and you will be required to work on a 5 out of 7 rotating pattern covering early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Campus Services New Starter bonus*
- In addition to the great benefits Campus Services’ offers, we can offer you a £1,000 bonus. This is payable the month after successfully passing your six months’ probation. Please note this bonus is pro rata for part-time roles.
