Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill is located in the prestigious Marylebone area of London’s West End, overlooking the gardens of Portman Square and just moments from Oxford Street and Hyde Park. Inspired by the legacy of Sir Winston Churchill, the hotel reflects a sense of British heritage and timeless style.

The hotel features 440 elegant guestrooms including 50 suites, along with 11 versatile meeting and event spaces hosting a wide range of corporate events and social occasions. Dining experiences include seasonal British dishes and Afternoon Tea at The Montagu Kitchen and cocktails at the stylish Churchill Bar & Terrace.

Colleagues work in a vibrant hospitality environment welcoming both international business travellers and leisure guests to one of London’s most sought-after neighbourhoods.

Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Human Resources Manager to join our team. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be part of a team of four that play an integral role in supporting the HR function, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring exceptional colleague engagement across the hotel. You will also work closely with the Area UK team to align local HR initiatives with wider business priorities and best practices.

Duties and responsibilities related to the Assistant Human Resources Manager role

  • Support the HR Manager in day-to-day HR operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive the onboarding experience, ensuring every new colleague feels welcomed, supported, and connected to our culture from day one. Partner with department leaders to deliver a seamless transition into the Hyatt family.
  • Manage HR administration including employee relations, payroll processing, and performance management.
  • Champion colleague engagement and recognition programmes to build a motivated, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and company policies, providing expert guidance and support to department leaders.
  • Coordinate internal communications and colleague events to strengthen teamwork and belonging.
  • Lead and contribute to HR projects that drive innovation, wellbeing, and professional growth within the hotel.

About You

You are an experienced Assistant Human Resources Manager (or in a similar senior HR role) within the hospitality industry.

  • Experience in a luxury hotel environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and proven success in managing employee relations is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficient in HR systems and technology, with strong organisational and analytical skills.
