Job Description:
As an Assistant Import / Export Officer, you will be part of a fast paced logistics environment, supporting the effective management of import and export activities to meet business and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring compliance and supporting with service delivery through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The position offers exposure to various logistics processes, whilst providing opportunities to develop systems knowledge, build relationships across teams and contribute to the continuous delivery and improvement of operational performance.
Core duties:
- You will be maintaining and populating Import / Export records, files and ERP system
- You will be responsible for processing Import / Export paperwork in line with the set service level agreement whilst remaining compliant to both external and internal regulations
- You will be interfacing and networking with Shipping and Packing personnel to share best practices
- You will be obtaining, reviewing and filing customs declarations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant import/export regulations
- You will be effectively using IT software to support and enhance the logistics service level delivery
- You will be responsible for resolving import / export shipping queries and requests from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
- You will be supporting and covering the Import/ Export team workload where required

Essential Skills:
- You will need to have gained proven customer service experience within a fast pace, working environment
- You will require the ability to prioritise your work and meet tight deadlines
- You will have gained good systems experience - such as the full Microsoft Office suite
- You will need to bring prior exposure from within a logistics environment
The Logistics Team:
You’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of service level agreements and maintenance of current processes. You will interface with internal / external teams and functions to meet the requirements of the business. This role will provide you with personal development opportunities and the ability to engage and learn with others in the team.
