Indirect Tax Assistant Manager – London, Birmingham or Manchester (Zone 1) (1 day a week in the office) - up to £70,000 - International Law Firm
A leading international professional services organisation is seeking an Indirect Tax Assistant Manager to join its in-house Tax team in London.
This role offers a broad mix of indirect tax advisory, compliance, and process improvement responsibilities. The successful candidate will act as the primary contact for global VAT and indirect tax matters, providing support to finance and business services teams across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee global VAT compliance obligations across the UK, EMEA, and LATAM regions, ensuring all filing requirements are met accurately and on time.
- Provide clear, practical advice on UK and international VAT matters to stakeholders across the business.
- Liaise with offshore finance teams and external advisers to coordinate UK and international tax compliance activities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain VAT policies, processes, and guidance documentation to support financial operations teams.
- Partner with Finance and Financial Systems teams to enhance VAT controls, accuracy, and reporting.

Required Experience and Skills
- Strong knowledge of UK VAT compliance, including the preparation, review, and oversight of statutory VAT returns.
- Experience providing advice on UK and international VAT matters, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Relevant professional qualification (CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
