gap construction are proud to be representing a well-established, independent construction consultancy in their search for an Assistant / Intermediate Project Manager to join their growing Northampton office.

With over 100 years of industry expertise and a strong national presence, our client has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high quality cost management, project management and building surveying services across a diverse range of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative consultancy that genuinely invests in professional development, offering clear progression and support towards chartership.

Performance Objectives

  • Assist in the delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion across all RIBA stages
  • Support Senior Project Managers with project planning, programming and reporting
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors and design teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Attend client, design and site meetings, preparing accurate minutes and action trackers
  • Monitor project progress, identifying risks and helping ensure projects remain on programme and within budget
  • Assist with contract administration and procurement activities where required
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with health and safety and statutory requirements

Person Specification

  • Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Previous experience within a construction consultancy or contractor environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Keen to develop a long-term career in project management
  • Working towards, or interested in achieving, professional chartership (APM, RICS or similar)
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
