Assistant Landscape Architect
Assistant Landscape Architect – Bristol
We are seeking graduate Landscape Architects and technically skilled landscape professionals (already in practice) to join our vibrant studio team in Bristol. The role involves production and landscape technical support, working autonomously with guidance from the landscape team.
If motivated, highly organised and confident in translating design sketch drawings into detailed technical packages, you could be an excellent fit. You should excel at communicating clearly both written and verbally, and thrive in a dynamic studio setting.
Job Overview
You will provide day-to-day support to the senior team across production packages and stages of landscape design projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Producing graphical plans and presentation material for early-stage client and stakeholder engagement.
- Engaging with a diverse range of architectural and landscape commissions spanning rural and urban contexts, from feasibility studies to technical detailing and construction support.
- Gaining exposure to all stages of design—from feasibility and planning, through tender documentation, to construction monitoring on site.
The role offers an opportunity to develop skills through varied project experience, supported by training and mentorship tailored to your growth. This is an idealposition for those seeking to strengthen technical drawing proficiency, refine presentation skills, and learn end-to-end landscape production workflows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
