Are you passionate about teaching maths or English and helping young people achieve recognised qualifications?
Do you enjoy supporting learners to build confidence, develop skills, and make meaningful progress toward their employment and career goals?
If so, we’d love you to join our committed and friendly team.
Learning Services Worcestershire is expanding its Young Adult Learning provision in Worcester and Redditch and is recruiting enthusiastic sessional staff to deliver maths, English and pastoral support.
We welcome applications from individuals who can deliver in one or more of these areas. You do not need experience in all three disciplines to apply.
English and maths (GCSE and Functional Skills, Entry Level to Level 2) are a core component of our employment-focused Study Programmes for learners aged 16–24, supporting them to achieve the qualifications they need to progress. Alongside this, our Employability and Engagement Programmes (EEP) provide tailored support to help learners build confidence, develop essential life and work skills, and prepare for their next steps into education, training or employment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
