Assistant Maintenance Engineer

Location: Bletchley
Salary: £38,500 + Overtime + Bonus - TRAINING AND PROGRESSION INTO MULTI SKILLED ENGINEER!!
Shift: 12-Hour Days & Nights (Continental Shift Pattern)

Job Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturing business at their highly automated production facility in Bletchley.

This role is perfect for an engineer looking to take the next step in their career. You'll receive excellent training with a clear progression route into a fully qualified Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, working on state-of-the-art automated production machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You'll support the engineering team with planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, and continuous improvement projects to maximize plant reliability and production efficiency.

Sector: Factory Maintenance

Essential Requirements

  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering bias.
  • Minimum NVQ or C&G Level 2 Engineering qualification.
  • Engineering experience within a UK manufacturing, industrial, production, or Armed Forces (REME, Army, Navy, RAF).

Desirable

  • Previous factory or manufacturing maintenance experience within an Automated environment.
  • Ex-Forces Engineers encouraged to apply (RAF, REME, Royal Navy, or Marine Engineering backgrounds).
  • Experience working on production or industrial machinery.
