Assistant Management Accountant

Assistant Management Accountant

Sector: Entertainment / Digital Tech & Online Festivals

Location: Shoreditch, London (Hybrid: Minimum 2 days in office – Mon/Wed)

Salary: Up to £40K (dependent on experience) + ACCA Study Support

Team: A close-knit team of 2 (You + the Financial Controller)

Small Team. Massive Exposure. Global Impact.

Want to escape the rigid corporate structures where you're just a cog in the machine? Welcome to The Worlds Online Festival (WOLF). Based right in the creative and tech heart of Shoreditch, we operate in the fast-paced, exciting digital entertainment and online festival sector.

Our London finance presence is lean—a tight team of just two. You will be working directly alongside our Financial Controller, which means you won't just be processing numbers; you will have a front-row seat to how a global entertainment business operates. This is an incredible opportunity to gain unparalleled exposure to high-level finance, experience a steep and rewarding learning curve, and actively help the FC expand the team and streamline our international reporting.

If you are an Assistant Accountant or Junior Management Accountant looking to take ownership of a broader remit, this is your backstage pass. This role is a brilliant step up for someone who already possesses essential management accounts experience and wants to actively support month-end reporting and financial statement preparation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Exposure (What You’ll Be Doing):

Because it’s a team of two, you will touch every corner of the finance function across our global group:

  • Month-End & Management Accounts: Take a hands-on role in preparing monthly Group Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports. Maintain fixed asset registers, manage intercompany reconciliations, and prepare schedules for prepayments and accruals.
  • International Transactions: Own the end-to-end processing of supplier invoices, bank recs, and group payment runs across multiple accounts and currencies using Xero.
  • Tech-Driven Revenue: Reconcile customer receipts from cutting-edge digital payment platforms including PayPal, Checkout, and Braintree.
  • Global Tax Exposure: Gain hands-on experience by helping process quarterly VAT returns for the UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and MOSS under the FC’s guidance.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work with HR to manage monthly payroll and assist with year-end audit preparation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • The Experience: You are a Junior Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant, or Part-Qualified General Ledger Accountant with clear, hands-on experience assisting with month-end processes and a strong baseline understanding of Financial Statements.
  • The Shoreditch Mindset: We need someone forward-thinking, adaptive, and enthusiastic about implementing change. You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and help out at all levels of finance processing.
  • The Skills: Strong Excel and accounting software skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative 2-person dynamic.
