Assistant Management Accountant

Assistant Management Accountant (Hybrid)
Full-time, Fleet, United Kingdom
About the Role
The purpose of the Assistant Management Accountant is to support the Commercial Accounting Team by contributing to the event reconciliation process and working alongside the wider Accounting team to meet monthly reporting requirements.
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will:
- Work alongside relevant operations teams to review and reconcile project budgets and raise client invoices, adhering to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure project budget changes are accurately reflected in pipeline documents and business reporting
- Assist Finance Business Partners with the month-end closing processes
- Prepare monthly accounts for designated cost centres, including revenue recognition and balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide support for the weekly KPI income reporting process across all lines of business
- Be proactive in assisting with any ad hoc projects as determined by cost centre managers or Finance leadership
About You
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Part-qualified (or equivalent) in the Accounting Sciences and Techniques (AAT) or qualified by experience, with strong accounting knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills; SAP experience preferred
- Highly accurate, detail-oriented, and capable of managing priorities efficiently
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in collaborating with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Proactive and commercially minded, with a focus on continuous improvement and business support
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Committed to confidentiality, professionalism, and high ethical standards
- Knowledgeable about and eager to stay updated on accounting regulations, legislation, and industry best practices
