Location & Contract
Office-based in Hull Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 DOE
About the Role
Consortium Professional Recruitment is partnering with a forward-thinking business to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant.
This is an ideal opportunity for:
- A finance professional with at least two years of experience
- A part-qualified accountant
- Someone eager to expand their knowledge, take on greater responsibility, and progress within a supportive environment
The successful candidate will join a collaborative finance team, supporting key accounting processes, reporting, and financial controls. This role offers full study support for professional development and is an excellent platform for building a long-term finance career.
Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll play a crucial role in:
- Preparing daily bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
- Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and detailed variance analysis
- Contributing to cashflow management, including foreign currency activities
- Processing ad hoc supplier payments and assisting with accounts payable
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, audit preparation, and finance reporting

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
We’re seeking someone with:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Experience studying towards—or a strong desire to pursue—AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications
- Familiarity with Excel and finance systems
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong attention to detail and advanced analytical capability
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
- Willingness to learn and develop in a dynamic finance environment
