Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced finance and accounts person to join a fast-paced and growing finance team as an Assistant Management Accountant, supporting core financial processes and contributing to continuous improvement across the function. This full-time, permanent role is based in Ripon, North Yorkshire, offering a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career and gain broader exposure to month-end reporting, financial analysis and financial controls.
About The Role
Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end activities, and ensuring strong financial controls are upheld. This role suits someone with a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and confidence working with financial data.

Key Responsibilities
- Daily banking: Assist with daily banking activity and cash reconciliations.
- Month-end processes: Support accruals, prepayments and financial reporting.
- Financial records: Maintain accurate documentation and financial data.
- Audit support: Assist with audits and compliance checks.
- Stock and cost control: Provide administrative support for stock and cost control.
- General finance admin: Deliver wider finance and administrative support as required.
- Cross-functional liaison: Work with colleagues across the business to gather information and resolve queries.
- Deadline management: Work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
Requirements
- Previous finance or accounting experience
- AAT Level 3 or above
- Strong Excel skills and confidence handling financial data
- Proactive mindset with genuine enthusiasm for finance
- Professional, organised and able to work independently or within a team
