Assistant Management Accountant (Ref: AJ47492)

A Japanese food and retail group is currently recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant in London.

Assistant Accountant will be responsible for purchase ledger, supplier reconciliations, month-end processes, revenue reconciliations, and financial analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of finance experience, strong purchase ledger and reconciliation skills, and be studying towards AAT, CIMA or ACCA. (Ref: AJ47492 - Please include this when making any enquiries.)

Main Responsibilities

  • Process, code, and post supplier invoices across multiple restaurant sites
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve invoice queries
  • Assist with month-end activities including accruals, prepayments, and journals
  • Review site Profit & Loss reports and investigate financial variances
  • Support gross profit and stock analysis by working with restaurant management teams
  • Reconcile daily EPOS sales with cash, card payments, and third-party delivery platforms
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts including accounts payable control and intercompany balances

Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a finance role with purchase ledger or accounts payable responsibilities
  • Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA, or currently studying AAT
  • Previous experience within hospitality, retail, or leisure is highly desirable
  • Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • Experience with Xero, Sage, Dext, ApprovalMax, or similar accounting systems is advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills
  • Confident communicating with suppliers and non-finance stakeholders

Conditions

  • Location: Wembley, London
  • Working Style: In-Office
  • Salary: £32,000–£34,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Job Type: Permanent, full-time
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Start: ASAP
