The role of Assistant Management Accountant

Requires a detail-oriented professional to assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis within the industrial and manufacturing sector. Description

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes within the department.
  • Conduct variance analysis to monitor financial performance against budgets.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with audit preparations as required.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Profile

A Successful Assistant Management Accountant Should Have

  • A strong foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • AAT / ACCA / CIMA part qualified.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A relevant qualification or progression towards a recognised accounting certification.
  • Experience working within the industrial or manufacturing sector would be advantageous.
