Contract: Fixed Term Contract 16 Months - 37.5 hours
Salary: Circa £29,900
Location: Smethwick Head Office - Roebuck Lane, West Midlands, B66 1BY
Hours: Monday to Friday (09:00 - 17:30)

Job Description
Our Finance Manager is looking for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their high performing team. In this role, your primary focus will be the preparation, analysis, and administration of management accounts, alongside supporting core accounting functions. Other key duties include;
- Preparation of weekly P&Ls.
- Production of weekly supportive performance management reports and dashboards.
- Liaise with the departments to ensure that costs are recorded on an accurate and timely basis.
- Completion of all balance sheet reconciliations in order with the company policy to senior budget holders to aid their decision making process.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual financial results and the budget.
- Support the Finance Manager in creating annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Involvement in projects and improving/automating processes.
- Any other tasks that might be reasonably requested.

Qualifications
About You
As the successful candidate you will be able to evidence that you have finished university with a minimum 2:1 classification in any degree discipline. Additionally you must be currently studying towards an ACCA or CIMA qualification.
What we’re looking for;
- Strong analytical skills and be able to present results in a simple and clear manner.
- Ability to self-manage workload and prioritise tasks according to deadlines, importance and urgency.
- Excellent problem solving attitude with the drive to delivering results.
- Ability to build rapport with the Finance team and other departments in addition to excellent communication skills.
- Excellent computer literacy skills being proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
