KINTO UK – Portsmouth

KINTO UK are looking for an individual to join our Finance Department in the role of Assistant Management Accountant.

This position would suit an individual who is currently studying their AAT and has already gained experience working in a finance/accounts department.


About the Role

The Management Accounts team plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of KINTO UK by:

  • Oversight of financial controls, cash management, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Safeguarding assets
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Strengthening internal controls to mitigate financial risks and prevent fraud

As a Assistant Management Accountant, you will be instrumental in:

  • Helping prepare reconciliations and management accounts accurately and on time
  • Providing proactive, excellent service—both internally and externally
  • Delivering high-quality results within agreed deadlines

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Management Accountant, your duties will include:

  • Managing a diverse range of financial tasks:
    • Completing balance sheet reconciliations
    • Processing bank transactions
    • Preparing ad-hoc financial analyses
  • Demonstrating attention to detail, analytical thinking, and adherence to accounting policies
  • Ensuring accuracy in financial reporting to prevent significant implications for decision-making

The role carries high levels of responsibility, including:

  • Supporting the accurate and timely production of management accounts
  • Liaising with departmental heads and stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with parent company and owners (KEU/TMC) reporting requirements

Requirements

Essential

  • Enhanced Security Clearance: All employees undergo verification of employment history, family background, and financial records.
  • Accounting knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis.
    • Experience in management accounts preparation.
  • Attention to detail: Ability to process transactions, identify discrepancies, and reconcile accounts precisely.
  • Time management: Capacity to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for liaising with stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills: Proficiency in financial data analysis, trend identification, and deriving actionable insights.
  • Problem-solving abilities: Capacity to troubleshoot issues and propose process improvements.
  • Software proficiency:
    • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
