Salary: up to £41,000/annum
Location: Kew Bridge, London
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team at Fuller’s. This role plays an important part in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across our Managed and Tenanted divisions. Working closely with the Finance Manager, Estates and Property teams, you will help produce monthly management accounts, provide insightful financial analysis, and support key business decisions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts for the Managed and Tenanted divisions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, deferred income, recharges, rebates, and other accounting adjustments.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any variances.
- Produce weekly and monthly financial reports, providing clear analysis and insight to support business decision-making.
- Manage reporting for repairs, maintenance, and depreciation costs across the Group, ensuring accurate accounting and financial control.
- Work closely with the Estates and Property teams to monitor capital expenditure, oversee work in progress, and ensure assets are correctly capitalised and transferred to the fixed asset register.
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including the calculation and posting of depreciation.
- Review and help improve the use of the Access Maintain property system to enhance reporting, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Support the FP&A team with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Produce site profitability reports and ad hoc financial analysis to support Operations Managers and improve commercial performance.
- Prepare financial information and supporting schedules for monthly reviews, external audits, and year-end reporting.
- Complete external reporting requirements, including regulatory and statistical submissions.
- Work closely with the Accounts Payable team to ensure invoices and related deferrals are accounted for accurately.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and internal controls, sharing recommendations with the Finance Manager.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience within a finance or management accounting role, ideally within hospitality or a multi-site business.
- Part-qualified or fully qualified (or studying towards) AAT, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
- Strong accounting knowledge with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial data.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, positive approach with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Access Maintain would be advantageous but is not essential.
