Are you an ambitious Assistant Accountant looking to build on your management accounting experience and continue your professional studies?
Our client is seeking a motivated finance professional to join their Glasgow-based finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to month-end reporting, business partnering, and financial analysis within a dynamic international organisation.
Working closely with the Management Accounts team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting business decision-making, and contributing to a strong financial control environment.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and payroll adjustments
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
- Producing insightful financial analysis and commentary
- Supporting stakeholders across the business to resolve queries and improve reporting accuracy
- Assisting with audit requirements and maintaining robust financial controls
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function

About You
We’re interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- Previous experience within financial accounting, management accounting, or a similar finance role (minimum two years experience)
- Progress towards a professional qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- A proactive, organised, and detail-focused approach
