Assistant Manager
We're looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team at the Spread Eagle. Working closely with the management team, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the pub, developing the team and helping drive standards, performance and guest experience. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact, contribute fresh ideas and continue developing their hospitality career within a growing family business.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality leadership role
- Someone who wants more than just their next job and is looking to build a long-term career
- A natural leader who enjoys developing and supporting others
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to take ownership
- Someone who brings enthusiasm, initiative and fresh thinking while respecting the strong culture already in place

Responsibilities
- Leading organised, well-structured shifts and supporting the wider team to perform at their best
- Coaching, developing and motivating team members to build confidence, capability and future talent
- Maintaining consistently high standards across service, cleanliness and guest experience
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
- Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally and confidently
- Supporting labour control, stock processes and operational compliance
- Working alongside the management team to identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency and team performance
