Role Overview
As an Assistant Manager at JD Sports, you’ll take ownership of operational excellence, team development, and sales performance. Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll drive daily store success and inspire colleagues to deliver the premium JD experience.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Operational Leadership
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Lead and motivate the shop floor team, boosting productivity and morale.
- Uphold JD standards, ensuring top-tier service, display, and operational efficiency.
People & Performance
- Stage, guide, and develop staff, providing feedback and reinforcing JD priorities.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Daily Operations
- Cash handling, till management, and stock audits.
- Delivery and processing compliance.
- Escalate issues to ensure seamless store functionality.
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles (e.g., Assistant Store Manager, Supervisor).
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Commercial mindset—interpret sales data and drive results.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Track record of achieving KPI targets and improving sales.
