Assistant Manager – Harper’s Steakhouse, Southampton
£34,000 + Tronc | Lead the Floor | Grow Your Career
We're looking for either an experienced Assistant Manager or a superstar Supervisor ready for their next big step to join the team at Harper’s Steakhouse, Southampton, part of Upham Inns.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, high-energy steakhouse where guest experience, standards, and teamwork are everything.
Whether you’re already operating at Assistant Manager level or you’re a strong Supervisor ready to step up, this is a genuine opportunity to grow.

What you’ll be doing
- Leading and supporting high-energy, busy shifts
- Delivering consistent, standout guest experiences
- Supporting daily food & beverage operations
- Driving performance through KPIs and standards
- Coaching, motivating, and developing the team
- Managing stock, controls, and operational excellence
- Opening and closing the restaurant confidently
- Acting as a key support to the General Manager
What we’re looking for
Either:
- Current Assistant Manager in hospitality, or
- Strong Supervisor ready to step up
- Passion for delivering brilliant guest experiences
- Strong leadership, communication, and people skills
- Calm, organised, and proactive under pressure
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and busy trade periods
- A genuine desire to grow and develop within hospitality
