About the Role

Starbucks is seeking dynamic leaders to join our teams across our dynamic, high-volume retail stores. As an Assistant Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping daily operations and fostering exceptional customer experiences.

  • Aligning store-level operations with brand standards and corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include the following day-to-day tasks:

  • Leadership & Management

    • Lead shifts with a focus on delivering commercial success, ensuring world-class customer experiences.
    • Oversee and mentor a team, coaching partners to consistently exceed standards.
    • Recognise and celebrate achievements, fostering a positive and motivated team environment.
  • Operational Excellence

    • Take ownership of key performance indicators, including labour efficiency, waste reduction, and sales performance.
    • Ensure shift deployment aligns with planned roles, adjusting as needed to optimise customer flow.
    • Handle day-to-day store operations, ensuring brand standards are met or exceeded.
  • Performance & Growth

    • Utilise financial and operational data to make decisions that improve shift performance.
    • Maintain compliance with health & safety, food safety, and security standards.
    • Spearhead and lead the implementation of new initatives and product launches at the store level.

Requirements

To succeed as an Assistant Manager at Starbucks, we seek professionals who:

  • Have previous experience leading teams in a fast-paced, high-volume retail or hospitality environment (retail, hospitality, or customer services industry preferred).
  • Demonstrate a strong customer focus and are passionate about creating exceptional Starbucks experiences for each customer.
  • Showcase inherent skills in problem-solving, mulit-tasking, and transitioning effectively between sales, operations, and team engagement.
