Assistant Manager

Assistant Manager in Pharmacy Camborne

Work Arrangement 40-hour contract-based role, Monday to Saturday.


About the Role Management experience is preferred, but applications from motivated individuals with a pharmacy assistant or technician background are welcomed too.

An exciting Assistant Manager opportunity has arisen, offering a step up in your pharmacy or retail career while maintaining your passion for caring for local customers. The role combines leadership with day-to-day pharmacy and customer service excellence.


Main Objectives

  • Oversee the pharmacy team to ensure high standards in customer service & care, driving profitability through operational efficiency.
  • Lead a family-owned business with the passion to exceed community expectations.
  • Manage multiple elements of pharmacy services—including retail, dispensary, and compliance—uplift teams, and enhance profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the team’s success relies on:

  • Providing outstanding customer service—ensuring the team delivers friendly, empowered care to pharmacy visitors.
  • Supporting and developing colleagues—offering mentorship, trouble-shooting, and ensuring a motivated team.
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures—including handling controlled drugs, clarify processes, and maintain legal/ethical integrity.
  • Supporting pharmacy services—supervising the storage, preparation, dispensing and delivery of medical products.
  • Maximising profitability—balancing operational efficiency (inventory, stock control) to support community service excellence.

Systems & Skills Essential

Day Lewis values assurance and can-do leadership—especially as the business evolves. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Degree-level experience: Proven success in community pharmacy at management, technician, or team player level.
  • Skilled multitasker: Fluency transitioning between technician, retail, dispensary and leadership roles.
  • Customer-focus: Handling diverse customer needs with clarity, empathy, and courtesy.
  • Emotional Resilience: Underpins our teams in a hustle-dot-commerce, ever-changing spread (incl. weekends).
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Driving results in a supportive but fast-paced fast-paced, team-throwey atmosphere.
