Assistant Manager

Assistant Manager | Customer-Focused Retail | £30,000 - £31,500 | North Norfolk

About the Role

We're recruiting for a well-established retailer that prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service and creating an enjoyable shopping experience. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager to join a business where people, standards, and customer satisfaction are central to everything they do.

Responsibilities

As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the store while leading from the frontline—for inspiration and outstanding customer experiences. Your responsibilities include:

  • Influencing store standards, merchandising, and overall presentation while meeting commercial targets
  • Overseeing operational efficiency across all store functions
  • Driving sales performance and maintaining high visual merchandising standards
  • Creating an engaging environment for both customers and colleagues
  • Coaching, developing, and motivating your team to foster a positive culture and consistent results

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Previous management experience within a customer-focused retail environment
  • A proven ability to lead, coach, and develop large teams
  • Experience in a multi-product or fast-paced retail setting (preferred)
  • A passion for exceptional customer service
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to drive sales and performance
  • High standards of store presentation and operational excellence
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
