Assistant Manager

As Assistant Manager - you lead by example, supporting the General Manager in the management of the accommodation, heading up ‘Team true’ to instil a market leading true life living experience for our guests as we endeavour to become the most loved student accommodation brand. You have a hands-on approach. Day to day you are amongst the action, leading our team to operational excellence. Guest experience is paramount, and you ensure service delivery is on the button each and every time. Operational Excellence is a way of life and at true…you make things happen. You have a ‘warrior spirit’, you are enthusiastic, you are caring, you are the pillar of trust. You are curious…always asking ‘what's next?’, challenging yourself and looking for new ways to improve. You are a people person with great communication skills. You get to know our guests and understand their needs and wants. You are creative, passionate and innovative…you use your skill to enhance true life culture and assist the General Manager in making the necessary change.

Essential You will have a minimum of 2 years management experience at management/supervisory level.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • You are a welcoming face of true ensuring guests receive a warm welcome and a fond farewell.
  • You will be a key point of contact for our guests - answering questions, dealing with issues or concerns, and responding to complaints.
  • Provide reception desk support, including front desk and telephone support, assisting with parcel deliveries and day to day queries.
  • Accommodation show arounds and supporting the sales team.
  • Working in line with the accommodations budget.
  • Supporting the General Manager to ensure a range of opportunities and events for our guests.
  • Supporting the General Manager to ensure all Health & Safety requirements are carried out.
  • Managing the performance of all team members
  • Ensuring team members training is up to date.
  • Supporting and ensuring delivery of our market leading true-life events program.
  • Coordinating guest check in and check out, ensuring processes are in place and working and overseeing termly room inspections.
  • Managing contractors and visitors and ensuring procedures are followed.
  • Assisting in the day-to-day operations including responding to maintenance requests and the general upkeep of the accommodation
