Assistant Manager – Apply Your Leadership
At JD Sports, we don’t just lead—we set the pace. As an Assistant Manager, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the Store Manager and driving store success alongside one of the world’s most iconic sports fashion brands. You'll:
- Support achieving sales targets and core KPIs.
- Inspire your team with confident leadership.
- Deliver customer experiences that set the standard every day.

Key Responsibilities
Your role includes:
- Supporting daily operations to meet sales targets and priorities.
- Leading and guiding colleagues on the shop floor, including:
- Task allocation and delegation.
- Coaching and real-time feedback.
- Ensuring JD standards are maintained throughout the day.
- Maintaining operational excellence by keeping:
- High standards of typing, tidiness, and pricing accuracy.
- A safe and efficient environment.
- Cleaning routines in line with brand norms.
- Performing core tasks:
- Assisting with cash control and till checks.
- Supporting deliveries and stock checks.
- Handling opening/closing rounds and escalating issues as needed.

Must-Have Requirements
- Management or supervisory retail experience, such as Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor.
- Strong leadership skills to:
- Guide, develop, and motivate teams.
- Reinforce store objectives and operational priorities.
- Confidence interpreting KPIs and translating sales data into smart commercial decisions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to:
- Support colleagues effectively.
- Handle professional customer interactions.
- Track record of driving sales performance and delivering results.
