Assistant Manager
Assistant Manager – Hoste Arms, Burnham Market
Location: Hoste Arms, Burnham Market
Salary: Up to £40K, including tronc and tips
We’re searching for an Assistant Manager ready to step into a leadership role and take the next professional leap. At Young’s Pubs, we’re committed to nurturing careers from within – 70% of our General Managers were promoted from internal roles.
This role is ideal for someone with an experienced background in management, capable of leading high-performing teams with exceptional customer service skills. Based at the Hoste Arms, famous for its outstanding food and unique offerings—including sleep-over bedrooms, a function room, and a cinema—you’ll have ample opportunities to make an impact and grow alongside us.

What You’ll Do
As our Assistant Manager, you’ll oversee the Hoste Arms’ inclusive team, enhance customer service, and foster improvement within the hospitality industry. Exciting tasks include:
- Consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Managing a high-standard service team while mentoring new staff
- Overseeing six key areas of high-drive success:
- Customer service
- Food excellence
- Guest experience
- Team leadership
- Training and development
- Continuous improvement
- Setting ambitious goals and responsibility for the pub’s reputation
- Maximising revenue through operational excellence and guest retention
