Assistant Manager – Join Our Leadership Team

About the Role

We’re on the lookout for passionate leaders at Starbucks. Not only do you get to enjoy our coffee—you become part of a vibrant community where growth, connections, and opportunities are brewed in.

As an Assistant Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping Starbucks’ future. Your voice shapes everything—from operational excellence to exceptional customer experiences. Empowered with responsibility, you’ll drive commercial success, uphold brand standards, and nurture your team.

No two days are the same. Each shift brings new challenges, opportunities to innovate, and moments to champion our mission of fostering community through coffee.

Key Responsibilities

Core Leadership & Operations

  • Lead shifts to deliver outstanding commercial results and world-class customer experiences, ensuring all team members (partners) succeed
  • Own KPIs including labour efficiency, waste reduction, and sales performance—turning metrics into actionable improvements
  • Schedule shifts to align roles with routines, then adapt as needed to optimise customer flow and feedback
  • Monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and celebrate partner achievements
  • Replace the store duty manager when scheduled; be accountable for all operational and personnel decisions during your shift
  • Maintain brand standards in every detail—product quality, service consistency, and operational completeness
  • Analyse financial/operational data to make data-driven decisions that enhance shift performance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
