Accounts Payable Assistant Manager

Location: Greenford, West London Working Pattern: Office-based Salary: £40,000–£42,000

We're recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant Manager to join a growing higher education organisation, overseeing the day-to-day accounts payable function and leading a small team to ensure accurate, timely supplier payments and strong financial controls.

You'll manage payment runs, supplier queries, reconciliations, journals and month-end processes while driving continuous improvements and supporting key finance projects.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous Accounts Payable experience with supervisory or management responsibility
  • Strong understanding of AP processes, VAT and financial controls
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Unit4, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and stakeholder management skills
