Assistant Manager Assistant Counter Manager

Counter Manager – Bobbi Brown, Birmingham (Selfridges)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days)

About the Role

We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic Assistant Counter Manager to play a key role in driving the success of the Bobbi Brown counter at Selfridges, Birmingham. This position supports the Store Manager in:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of Sales Associates
  • Achieving sales, customer service, and operational targets

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:

    • Guide and develop Sales Associates to ensure high performance
    • Maintain a positive team culture, fostering individual growth
  • Sales & Customer Service Excellence:

    • Drive counter sales targets through exceptional customer engagement
    • Deliver authentic, personalized service that aligns with Bobbi Brown’s premium brand values
  • Operational Efficiency:

    • Oversee inventory management and product availability
    • Ensure accurate cash reconciliation and POS compliance
  • Retail Execution:

    • Uphold selfridges’ retail standards while representing Bobbi Brown’s luxury positioning
    • Adapt to peak shopping periods, including days, nights, weekends, and special events

Requirements

  • Retail experience (preferably in cosmetics or prestige beauty)
  • Proven supervisory skills with a successful track record of:
    • Coaching teams to meet sales targets
    • Improving customer service outcomes
  • Operations expertise in:
    • Inventory control
    • Cash handling and POS reconciliation
  • Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, and major events)
  • Familiarity with retail POS systems
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK (evidence required upon interview)
