Location: Canary Wharf, London Salary: £40,000 – £44,000 per year Step Up. Lead With Purpose. Grow Into Management. Humble Grape Canary Wharf is looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Manager to join our team and help deliver the exceptional guest experience we're known for. This isn't just an operational role, it's a genuine stepping stone. We're looking for someone with ambition, who wants to grow, learn the business from the inside, and carve a clear path toward senior management. What You'll Be Doing Supporting the General Manager in running smooth, high-quality daily operations Leading the floor during service and stepping up when it counts Championing Humble Grape's standards for wine, food, and guest experience Coaching and developing the team, setting the tone for culture and professionalism Getting hands-on exposure to P&L, team scheduling, and site performance Helping drive commercial results without ever compromising the guest experience Being a consistent, trusted presence your team can rely on What We're Looking For Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in a quality-focused venue A natural leader who leads by example and brings out the best in people Genuine passion for hospitality, wine, and creating memorable guest moments Ambition, you want to grow, and you're ready to put the work in Strong operational awareness and the ability to stay calm under pressure An interest in wine (WSET qualifications are a bonus, but not essential) Full right to work in the UK Why Humble Grape Canary Wharf A clear development pathway toward AGM and beyond Structured mentorship from an experienced GM A venue with its own identity, loyal regulars, and a brilliant team A business that genuinely invests in its people Perks & Benefits Competitive salary Training & development support, including WSET Staff discounts across all Humble Grape venues Cycle-to-Work scheme Supplier trips & annual staff events Free team meals Rewards & recognition platform Wellbeing initiatives About Humble Grape We're more than a wine bar.
