Are you an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager looking for the next step in your career?

We're recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join a well-established residential childcare provider dedicated to creating safe, nurturing homes where children and young people can thrive, achieve positive outcomes and develop independence.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to progress into a leadership role, supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home while helping to lead and develop an experienced care team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operation of the home.
  • Leading the team in the Registered Manager's absence.
  • Promoting a safe, caring and supportive environment for children and young people.
  • Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and records are maintained to a high standard.
  • Supporting and developing staff through supervision, coaching and training.
  • Working closely with social workers, families, health professionals and external agencies.
  • Maintaining high safeguarding standards and ensuring compliance with Children's Home Regulations.
  • Assisting with recruitment, inductions, staff development and shift planning.
  • Promoting positive behaviour strategies and supporting young people's emotional wellbeing.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience as an Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Team Leader or Senior Residential Support Worker within a children's residential home.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
  • At least 1 year's experience working within a children's residential care setting.
  • Experience supervising or supporting staff.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding, Children's Home Regulations and care standards.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care would be advantageous.
  • Confident IT skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
