About the Role
We’re recruiting an experienced Assistant Café Manager who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, with the ability to confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for a major High Street brand. You’ll operate full-time, ensuring smooth kitchen and counter operations while driving outstanding food experiences.
This role offers a fantastic chance to progress your catering career with a company that invests in its people, values individuality, and rewards exceptional performance.
Expected shift pattern: 5 out of 7 days
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include:
- Liaising between the team and manager to exceed expectations consistently
- Motivating the team to keep them on task and productive
- Assisting the manager with inventory management, budget monitoring, and action planning
- Managing tills and processing payments efficiently
- Supporting and training teams, demonstrating operational excellence
- Assisting with administrative paperwork when required
- Representing Compass Group UK&I while maintaining a strong, positive brand image
