We’re seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager to lead our beloved Windsor restaurant with enthusiasm and attention to detail. Join our team to deliver exceptional dining experiences without sacrificing those moments you love.
Responsibilities
- Ensure operational efficiency across all front and back-of-house (FOH/BOF) functions to deliver consistent, high-quality guest service.
- Lead daily operations, including staff management, scheduling, and supervision, ensuring smooth dining experiences for all guests.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve feedback or concerns promptly using kind yet competent problem-solving.
- Build a positive team culture, fostering engagement and retention among employees by celebrating teamwork at all levels.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations, hygiene policies, and food safety guidelines are followed meticulously.
- Collaborate closely with the full team on technical aspects, new menu items, seasonal promotions, and shifts in grandeur dining service needs.
- Manage stock control, food and beverage inventory, and side-of-house functions seamlessly.
- Provide support to senior leadership with accurate data collection and trend analysis.
- Create daily reports, assist with financial forecasting, and participate in bi-annual forecasting to support sustainable growth.

Requirements
- Essential:
- Minimum of 1 year of management, supervisory or leadership experience in a high-tempo environment—hospitality is an advantage but not mandatory.
- A willingness to embrace community-focused hospitality principles: generosity, warmth, optimism, simplicity, and passion for food and live music.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a talent for mediating and resolving dynamics with team members and guests.
- Experience handling challenges with problem-solving coloured with humour while remaining tidy, committed and reliable.
- Passionate about creating customer WOW moments: remembering names, identifying staff for their strengths, and looking ahead – always welcoming and enlivening guests.
- Nice to have:
- Knowledge in financial reporting or food costing preferences.
- Berrie’s Catering license, Bar Essentials certification, or youth industry-specific training.

💶 Salary: £31,000–£36,000 per year
