I'm working with a well known name in the Midlands to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager into a high performing regional finance team. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight, supporting business performance and key decision making in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the production of monthly management accounts
- Assisting with the business planning cycle, including annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Providing analysis and insight to support performance, challenge results and drive informed decisions
- Supporting CAPEX planning and reporting, including project evaluations
- Contributing to value chain analysis and contract margin reviews
- Delivering performance reporting including variance analysis, KPIs and benchmarking
- Building strong relationships with operational and commercial teams
- Supporting senior stakeholders with presentations on performance, risks and opportunities

What we're looking for:
- Actively studying or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent experience)
- Experience producing and analysing financial reports, forecasts and budgets
- Ability to interpret data and provide commercial insight
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confident enough to challenge and influence effectively
- Experience with SAP/BW and working in a matrix environment would be a bonus but isn't essential.
