The Role: Assistant Manager

Sector: Mixed-Use Hospitality & Workspace

Location: Bromley

Salary: up to £45,000 + Bonus and Great Development

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced hospitality professional to join a high-profile, mixed-use destination combining a boutique hotel, flexible workspace, and events venue as Assistant Manager.

This role would suit an Operations Manager coming from a 4* or 5* hotel environment looking to transition into a more balanced, varied position while retaining a strong operational and commercial focus. We are looking for customer facing, dynamic individuals with an excellent eye for detail and a relentless passion for excellent service. Enthusiasm and engagement are top of the agenda as you will be an ambassador for a group with a stunning portfolio across the UK and EU.

Working closely with the General Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations across the site, acting as the lead on shift and ensuring exceptional standards across guest experience, workspace operations, and events delivery. There is fantastic room for personal development here and being No.2 to a wonderful GM will open many opportunities for you.

Please note this role does not offer hybrid or work from home – it is on site 5 days a week – Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support overall operational performance across hotel, workspace, and events
  • Drive commercial outcomes including revenue, cost control, and reporting
  • Lead on guest and member experience, handling escalations and feedback
  • Oversee third-party suppliers including housekeeping and maintenance
  • Manage compliance, health & safety, and building operations
  • Contribute to sales activity and local business development

About You:

  • Background in 4* or 5* hotel operations (ideal step up or sideways move for better work-life balance)
  • Strong operational and commercial awareness
  • Confident managing teams, suppliers, and guest experience
  • Highly organised with good systems and reporting capability
  • Strong people skills with energy and enthusiasm
