Assistant Manager - Full Time
Location: Yardley, West Midlands Hours: 43 hours per week across 5 days, including at least one weekend shift Salary: £32,648 - £35,306 per annum (equates to £32,648.16 - £35,306.88 for a 43-hour week) Benefits:

About the Role
We are recruiting for a permanent full-time Assistant Manager at one of our retail shops. This position requires flexibility in work availability across the week, including weekends.
Responsibilities
As a Assistant Manager, you will:
- Collaborate closely with the shop manager to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service
- Develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback as a retail assistant team leader
- Provide shop coverage in the absence of the shop manager, ensuring:
- Exceptional customer care
- Efficient delivery management
- Adherence to routines for a safe, clean, and tidy retail environment
- Oversee operational costs by preventing shrinkage, waste, and payroll inconsistencies
- Support the manager in recruitment and workplace induction of new team members

Requirements
Personal Attributes & Approach
- Friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to retail duties
- Ability to establish strong relationships with colleagues and customers (“people person”)
- Reliability and trustworthiness, as you’ll play a key role in supporting others
Experience
- Prior experience as a retail manager, team leader, or supervisor preferred
Legal Considerations
- Willingness to complete:
- A Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or
- A Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland), if applicable. Employment is contingent on a satisfactory result.
