Assistant Manager – South West London (Wimbledon, Kingston, Surbiton, Carshalton)
We’re seeking high-potential Assistant Managers to join our stylish, fresh-food pubs in South West London, covering Wimbledon, Kingston, Surbiton and Carshalton. If you’re motivated, have team management experience, and share a genuine passion for exceptional customer service, this could be the role for you.
About the Role
Successful candidates will take a proactive approach to leadership, driving team excellence and supporting the pub’s continued growth. With 70% of our General Manager (GM) vacancies filled by internal candidates in the last financial year, we’ll provide the training, support, and career progression needed for you to aspire to GM and thrive long-term.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, confidence, and agility — experience leading a team is essential.
- Act as a supportive mentor for staff, fostering a culture of high customer service.

- Lead by example, setting standards for both team performance and guest experience.
- Think strategically — identify opportunities to improve the pub’s offer, sales, and operations from a GM perspective.

- Develop and train employees to ensure they can delight customers with consistency.
- Enthusiastically contribute to the pub’s continued success while owning your career development. We’ll provide ongoing support and training opportunities to help you grow.
Skills & Experience
- A proven track record in customer service, ideally within hospitality.
- A passion for hospitality — proactivity, flexibility, and a result-driven mindset.
- Experience managing teams or functioning as a leader in a high-volume environment.
